Rapids took all three points as they routed San Jose 2-1 at Buck Shaw Stadium on Saturday night.

Joey Gjertsen opened the scoreboard for San Jose in the 22 minute when he grabbed his second goal for the club but Earthquakes maintained their lead only for 16 minutes as Caleb Folan scored the equalizer in the 37 minute of game.

Colorado had a good chance to get dominance in the 66th minute when Larentowicz delivered a solid header on Wells Thompson’s corner kick, but San Jose’s Brad Ring, headed the ball off the end line. Jeff Larentowicz sealed the victory fo MLS: Colorado Rapids 2-1 San Jose
